M2N SLI Deluxe startup problems

I recently built a computer using the following specs

Asus M2N Sli deluxe motherboard
AMD Phenom X4 9600 processor
nVidia geForce 7600GTX graphics card
Creative xfi sound blaster sound card
Seagate 1TB hard drive with windows vista ultimate
2 Corsair XMS 2GB RAM

I had finished assembling my computer, and had it running on windows vista very well for two days. After running windows update at the end of the day, and restarting, I was unable to return to windows. I had a successful POST beep, but the only thing displayed was the initial screen displaying the motherboard logo and the option to go into BIOS. Even after pressing delete, in an effort to see what's going wrong in the BIOS, I am unable to progress past this initial screen. No keystrokes are working.

I tried resetting the CMOS. I even replaced the battery, but to no progress.

Do I have any other options left? What else can I do?

Are you able to get into the BIOS?

no. I'm just stuck at the initial motherboard logo screen

if your using a USB keyboard i found it hard to get into
the bios by just pressing delete on start up

by try and error i found out by pressing delete when you
see the text roll up..let up ,than press again i could get
into the BIOS

also a serial keyboard works the best

take the battery out and than change the jumper

HUZZAH! I had tried changing the CMOS battery, but I never tried resetting the jumper before.
It works.
