EVGA 590i Wont Boot From Flashdrive

Ive got a relatively new 590i mobo from EVGA but it wont boot from flash drive or even recognize it in bios, but in XP it works just fine AND the flash drive boots just fine in my laptop and other tower. Ive updated to the newest drivers but im wondering if anyone has any clue as to why, or knows where i can get a firmware update for it possible? checked the EVGA website and nothing there for older hardware. Please and thank you! =]

You call it "relatively new" and then "older hardware". Which is it?

Older motherboards cannot boot from flash drives unless there is a selection for that in BIOS setup. If it isn't there now, a BIOS update will not have it either.
