The P45 is the successor to the P35 chipset. It has benifits like better overclockibility, better power efficiency, supports PCIe 2.0 among other things. The P43 is basically a scaled down version of the P45, and does not support crossfire like the P45 does. It is also not as overclockable.
If you dont need crossfire or are not overclocking then you might consider the cheaper P43.
Dont bother with a P35 chipset if your buying a new board (mainly because it does not support PCIe2.0 which will come in useful in the future when graphics cards need more and more bandwidth. The P43 also costs something similar to that of the P35 so you might as well get the newer one.

Thanks
So the P43 is better than the P35, but not as good as the P45.
Am getting the Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 4850 512Mb.
Am not going to crossfire, but it is PCIe2.0 compatible. |

| Exactly. The P43 OC's better then the P35, but nothing close to the P45.
P35 is still a good chipset, I have a P35 board and it's a solid performer. |

Not much I think, just a new version with some small changes, mostly marketing hype |
