Sent the 160 back they checked it out and sent me another..said it was a bad HDD.
Took them about 8 days turnaround. I paid $7 for postage to send back. They do not charge for shipping first or replacement. Still I lost my original savings.
The replacement was also a 160G but it appeared to be a different model . It too was a white label.
It worked and all is now almost ok.
The Ram Stick I bought wasn't necessary but I was glad to get the extra 512.
Lots of misery all because of a bad HDD.
I still have the prob of recovery of the old HDD.
Also the 160 would not partition when I ran the XP Pro setup. So now I have a huge "C" Drive.
