I built a computer with this motherboard about 2 years ago.
Recently my 7950GT just gave out on me so I just purchased a 9800GTX+ off of new egg.

Although I'm not 100% certain on why my last video card crapped out on me. I can think of 2 reasons why it might have.
1. My stupidity of slightly pulling my monitor closer with the cable being stressed. SLIGHTLY not much but yeah...
2. If you have the 590 SLI or can see the pic.

The little green motherboard fan sits right at the end of the PCIE slot. I had my 7950GT in the first slot so the card sat over the top of the fan. I thought nothing of it. But looking at the card now. Where the fan blades are there are 2 ware marks on the card right where it sat on each side. They are very slight. But I do not want to sit my new card there just in case it happens again. BUT the 9800GTX is a rather fat card -.- and I have a PCI Linksys net adapter in the very bottum slot of the PCI. I'm just wondering for 1 if the card will fit overtop of the PCI slot seeing as its a little higher then the PCIE next to it and if the 2 cards being that close will do any harm. The PCI net adapter card will not cover up the fan, but will sit right next to the 9800GTX.
I dont know, just being a tad worried I guess. Bored waiting on the cards arrival. Man I wish the 30 dollar overnight shipping would pay for SUNDAY shipping!!! xD Anyways, anybody putting huge cards on the 590 SLI? BTW mine is made by EVGA, the mobo and the card.
EDIT*
I'm going to try and take a couple pictures of the ware on the card and what not.
Another thing I just noticed looking at the card. On these silver plates there is a SAP type substance. Just looks like a tiny drop or two. Almost like syrup but its solid. Don't know if it supposed to be like that or not O.o!
Link The two silver square plates on the right. Anyone think of what that could be from?
Thanks
