Power Supply and New MotherBoard

Howdy all,

I am attempting to install a "ThermalTake TR2-430W" power supply into my new Intel DG43NB Motherboard. I have connected the 24 pin main power supply and the 4 pin 12V connector and I am getting no results when I connect the power. I am new at this and so I am going slow and taking my time. The boss, however, wants her bloody computer back. Any assistance would be welcome.

Make sure the power switch on the back of the power supply is turned on.

OK checked that! Still no go.

Do you have 120 VAC, or what you get for household voltage? Is the surge suppressor turned on?
Does your PS have a fuse. ckt breaker and if so is it good?
Is everything plugged in good?
Do you have 12 VDC on the rails, checked with a meter?
Did you get a DOA PS?

I am an electrician not a tech god, but hopefully this will help.

Howdy all,

Have checked all electrical connections and I seem to have power to the board(small green light on board when power is applied) however the CPU fan is not fanning and nothing else is humming. As I mentioned earlier I only have the 24pin main and the 4pin 12V connectors attached to the board.
