    crossfire x question 790gx

i have a biostar TA790gx mobo. with a phenom II 955, im wonderin if my HD4870 crossfire is bottlenecked because of my mobo only supports 8x when in crossfire mode..do i need to change my mobo for the fx boards w/c supports 16x even on CD or is it good in the 8x's?

its PCIE 2.0 x8, which is equivalent to x16 on PCIE 1.0 (2.0 is twice 1.0 bandwidth per lane) so you should be fine, if there is a bottle neck its very very little. if it was a 1.0 board and running x8 then you might have a problem.

my i7 920 system I'm finally building right now (literally) runs a x8 x8 Crossfire setup too, and have 2x 4870's in there, at least once I get it installed in case and booted up later.
