Which of these ASUS is better?
ASUS M4A79T Deluxe
Newegg.com - ASUS M4A79T Deluxe AM3 DDR3 AMD 790FX ATX AMD Motherboard - AMD Motherboards
- Has a nice combo deal with PII955 BE
Newegg.com - ASUS M4A78T-E AM3 AMD 790GX HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard - AMD Motherboards
- Has D-Sub + DVI & HDMI
Also, can someone explain the Phase Xtreme Power Design? Even I can realize that 2>1... but I just don't know what that does.
Thanks in advance to any reply/comment.

You need to look at the options/features to see mobo one works best for YOUR needs..
Example: One has onboard video and an IDE channel - the other one doesn't.Imagine a world where dogs took bad owners to the pound...

Steve: Thanks for your reply. I guess I don't really need the onboard video, as I'm planning to buy a GPU anyway. As for the IDE, I'm not sure I'll be using it or not.
I'm not sure of what the D-Sub is for and, as I said, the Phase Xtreme.

D-Sub is the old School VGA Display connection, its technical name, like DVI and HDMI.
the Phase Xtreme, from what I gather is Asus's variation on cleaner electrical signal components and cooling of mosfets, etc, MSI's is Dr MOS or something, Gigabyte calls it something else, etc etc.
this link briefly explains what it is, from one of their board designs, ASUSTeK Computer Inc.i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green

ShyguyXPC: Silly me, I had looked down the ASUS webpage, but didn't try to look for their explaination of Phase Xtreme. Thank you for providing me the link as well as a brief idea of what it is.
