Chipset Fan Dead...?
At night I turn my monitor off, but leave my computer on.
Last night I was laying in bed and I heard it turn off and it beeped a few times so naturally I was like, AHHHWTF IS IT DOING.
After turning the monitor on, I saw it rebooted, and it gave me the warning message that the Chipset fan stopped working....
Completely random and all, ya know...?
Is this gonna cause me any problem?...
At the moment, CPU = 45c, MB = 43c.
(also, after starting up again, it soon went into a BSOD with the btkernal.sys being a problem, probably irrevalent though..)AMD Athlon 64 x2 3800+
Asus A8N-E
Corsair 2x512 Dual Channel RAM
Connect3D Radeon x800GTO

Fans do die. Check yours while it's on. If the fan is encased in an enclosure, be sure that the enclosure is not crushing the fan inside. This happened to me recently....
