    MSI P45 DOA

so I picked up a new MSI P45 platinum from newegg today, it was a still birth

it has some lights on it to tell you what is going on with the board at post, but the only light that comes on is a red one right next to the IDE line, I'm hoping somebody has this board or one close to it from MSI that maybe can give me some insight, is it dead,

I did all the stuff as normal, hooked it up outside of case, with just CPU mem and video card, pretty red light is all I get,

everything else is good, I am using mem CPU PSU Video card in here, so it all works,

that red light is LED3 on the board manual says its the (system is power on)

I just want to make sure I'm not missing something before I start the MIA with newegg, yes I meant MIA
i'm folding for techimo!! what are you doing?

For my MSI board red light is standby and it goes green when running.

manual just says it's the power on light, LED3 is not listed as one of the red and green post lights, just says power on

are you sure newegg didn't just send you back the same board? its happened before to people, Motherboards, Video cards, etc...

could be a bad batch of boards too.

I was thinking the same thing, but the second one also had all new cables and stuff, it was all rapped up, the box for the board was not rapped, (but I don't think it is n rapped) just in the box,

however if it is the same one they got it running so I would like to know how they did it,

it started right up I loaded win7 restarted for install a few times, but when I shut it down, it would not start again,

    just the red light again,

I took the bat out i will leave it for awhile see what happens,
maybe this time I will go strait to MSI about it, looked on there forum sight alot of people have had this problem but it was from the Cmos butten in that back plate being pushed in by the I/O plate, but thats not what is doing this to me,
i'm folding for techimo!! what are you doing?
