Try some basic trouble shooting steps.... Etc.... Take the RAM out and if it makes the same beeps you have found your problem....

I would say the problem lies in your RAM. Try one stick at a time.

i did all that, i am down to just the power supply and the processor motherboard and still get the same beeps. Everything is new right out of the box. so it is the motherboard.. dang!! does it matter if this power supply is moduler? why does the AMI bios doesnt have that 3 long beep code.??
thanks

For a basic test you need motherboard (with 24 pin main power & 8/4 pin CPU power connected), CPU with heatsink/fan (connected to CPU FAN header), 1 piece of memory, and a video card with its aux power connected (if it has an aux power connector).

Have you tried resetting the BIOS?
Is there a keyboard attached properly?

i had something similar ...I didn't have the CPU power plug from the PSU to the motherboard connected... sounds like you have already looked.. but if it's modular.. make sure your using the right connector out of the PSU for that ... I have had a cple modular psu's that tell you what each plug is for...

it's beginning to sound like a MB problem.... my MB died.. I was able to boot the board up.. no beeps... but no video etc... dble check the cpu , make sure the HSF is making good contact.. it's hard to say when it comes to something like this... have you retried the pci card... ? no you shouldn't have to use the SLI ... did the psu pwr up and the cpu fan come on... does the HSF start to get warm...?

I suggest rebuilding this outside the case on a non-conductive surface...
Only 1 stick of ram, video card, CPU/HSF, and keyboard

that's what I ended up doing with my MSI board ... it booted but no screen (video)... pulled the cpu etc .. rebuilt it outside the case, come to find out the MB was shot. Did get MSI to RMA me another board new in box, even though the other one was used for awhile ...

well people thanks for all your help, i finilly got fed up and order another mobo, it WAS the motherboard. but this motherboard was not used at all it was dead right out of the box. now my machine is up and running.. thow the 4 lights on the board should light only 3 are lighting up. but the machine is running fine.. i like how in the manual it says it has a 4 light post boot up but doesnt tell you what each light represents. Now i am ready for the BIG LAN. for all you gamers out there check this out.
