Make/Model this motherboard belongs to
I am at a stop. I can't determine who makes this computer and the model so that I can reload this HD. I thought it was what the case said: emachines W2828. But when I got a recovery disc for this, it loaded but bluescreens every time it is trying to load. Now I've read on a blog that it may be an HP Pavilion, but I've download the recovery disc for that and it comes up saying PC System NOT supported. So I need someone's help to determine the make and model of an OS that will run on this motherboard.
The specs it shows when it boots up are:
Award Medallion BIOS v6.0, An Energy Star Ally
Copyright (C) 1984-2001, Award Software, Inc
Copyright 2002 by Hewlett Packard, Inc
Rev 3.02
Award Plug and Play BIOS Extension v1.0A
08/27/2002-I845G/ICH4/IT8708-P4G533LA
Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated!!!

Well by Googling what little info you have given there points to it being an OEM ASUS board that goes into an HP machine. That's going on the ID string you gave which may or may not be reliable. I'd suggest opening the case and looking at the board itself for a make and model number.
As for an OS I'm not sure why you are trying to use recovery disks, you'll need to do a fresh install. For which one depends on the rest of the specs but Linux is free, Windows XP runs nicely on most systems from that date range.

Looks like it is a HP/Compaq mobo, model # P4G533-LA. There is a picture and diagram of the board here. Is that it?
