    CPU vs Mother

    Hello

    Procesor:
    Intel CPU Core i5 650 3.20GHz Clarkdale Core LGA1156

    and

    Motherboard:
    Gigabyte motherboard GA-H55M-S2 Intel H55 Core i7/Core i5/Core i3 LGA1156 DDR3 mATX

The description says they match but now im not really sure they are.. Cant lock-up lever without crushing cpu. I had to release screws, lift all "mechanism" up and then lock it but it still sounds "scarry".

    Any suggestions why is that?

The CPU will fit in that motherboard. Make sure you have lined it up correctly as it will have little groves that match the socket. It may take a little effort to get the lever to clip under, even if you feel like its crushing it. As long as it is placed properly it will be fine.

Did you check the manual for a detailed guide?
