Recommended Mobo for Phenom II X4 965
Hello!
I am building my first computer, and I've done all the research to get on the right track (I hope). No, I am not jumping into this without any knowledge.
The CPU I've decided to go with is the Phenom II X4 965 Black AM3 3.4Ghz 512KB 45NM 125W 4000MHZ, for $119.99, I think it's a modestly priced CPU for what it does. I was wondering if anyone here could point me in the direction of a good motherboard to accompany this CPU at a fair price. I'm hoping for around $100. If less, better.
Thanks

This is what I just bought: GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket AM3+ - GA-970A-UD3 (rev. 1.x)
It's able to use the newest CPU's from AMD as well, with a BIOS update
Also, seems to be built like a brick shithouse... solid caps etc...

here you can see a comparison of the 7850 vs GTX 570 (GTX 560 Ti 448 is reduced spec 570, so the 448 Core would be close to the 7850 in performance, if not just behind it a hair): AnandTech |...
