    How motherboards work?

Anyone want to lead me to an article that explains motherboards and their functions and how they work with other parts. Or if you are feeling ok with it, type something up yourself.

I know basic computing and a bit of advanced computing but I have been out of the loop for a while, so I don't know anything new they may have added.

Another basic question I have is, why won't an AMD processor work in some motherboards? I think I know this answer but I'm not sure.

As for your processor question, it all depends on the chipset, the processor, the pin layout of the cpu, etc etc etc

Am I correct in saying that an AMD MB has no north bridge?

technically neither AMD or Intel do anymore, since the memory controllers are on the CPU these days.

For Intel Sandy Bridge and AMD Fusion processors introduced in 2011, all of the functions of the northbridge reside on the CPU

Why, so you can give life to some AI, which spawns Psychotic Robotic and Cybernetic Warriors that Annihilate Whats Left of man kind, but not before setting off a Nuclear war by launching the worlds Nuke arsenal...

Imagine our wars fought by robots instead of humans... That's what I want to see.

That's a nice thought, but it's in human nature to make wars.
