What OS are you running?
What is the model of your laptop?
Was it working before and then stopped?

Will anything else work in the USB ports.
If you have answered as many stupid questions, from as many people that don't have a clue, as we have, you would understand the battery question.
I will be very surprised if it is just mice, if you have tried 2 different mice.
I would be surprised if you only tried 1 mouse.
The only other thing I can think of is a BIOS changer, but that should not effect anything once Windows takes over.
You could uninstall it in Device Manager, and restart.
That should reinstall it, with the drivers, that should be still there.Hard Sayin Not Knowin

Thanks everyone for all your help but it hit me this morning when I woke up and realized the drivers for the motherboard would be reinstalled automatically if I powered down, removed the power cord and battery from my lappy for a while and then rebooted. It worked like a charm! Im back in business!!!!

yeah, so much for reading... Problem was solved already.
And to top it off, that was a really asinine suggestion or solution for their problem...
...Especially coming from someone who can't find their video drivers for their laptop via google (their posting in another thread).i7 940//Corsair H60//EVGA X58 SLI LE//6GB Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz//2x EVGA GTX 560 Ti FPB SLI//NZXT Hale82 850W//CM 690 II Advanced//Win7 64//WD 74GB V-raptor, 750GB Black, 1.5TB Green
