Sony Viao Password, HELP!
Sony Vaio wont let me into the BIOS, needs a password. I pulled the MOBO out and removed the CMOS battery for more than 48 hours, still no joy. Any ideas how I can get into the BIOS on this thing?

Did you pull the laptop battery at the same time when you pulled the CMOS battery?

You can goolge-> Sony Viao Password BIOS "backdoor" passwords
You'll probably see that sony puts the password on an eeprom chip so the battery removal trick doesn't work.
Sony will need a copy of the original receipt to help out.Imagine a world where dogs took bad owners to the pound...

To my knowledge the only way to reset the BIOS password on these types of systems is to call Sony and have your account information on hand as Steve said. Actually this is covered quite a bit on Tom's Hardware - bypasses on systems like yours - won't work. But if you legit bought it used, go ahead and explain your case to Sony.
That's really the only solution I know of beside a battery pull, back doors and jumpers. And that, my dear boy, is why I don't buy Sony any more (well... one reason).“Arguing with anonymous strangers on the Internet is a sucker's game because they almost always turn out to be—or to be indistinguishable from—self-righteous sixteen-year-olds possessing infinite amounts of free time.” ― Cryptonomicon

I so hope it isn't "load up x security tool and hack the bios password," because that's against the forum rules. Just saying. :P Not assuming it is and I don't mean to pick on you, just saying no one should be recommending stuff along those lines. If you weren't I apologize, just saw that a few times on TIMO in the past. Anyone could have recommended a bios hack utility and didn't due to the fact that you don't really know who owns what on a public forum, if you understand what I mean.

The two cards should both use the same driver install. With Afterburner, I know it will work on the non-MSI card as individually installed with no manufacturer lockout, but I don't know if it...
