| Need help on Dual AMD MOBO problems
Hey all, recently I had one of my AMD MPs burn out on me. I just got the replacement, but now it seems the motherboard is acting weird.
It would freeze in the BIOS.
It would freeze in the middle of the RAM count.
Anyone have any ideas? I am suspecting the CPU burn out took the motherboard with it. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Well I've never used a dual board, but here's my thought on the issue...
Does your motherboard act up with just one cpu installed, no matter which slot? Have you tried both cpu's in both slots? Am I even making sense?

hey Martoch. Yes it is acting weird now, even with 1 cpu in either sockets. Won't even let me into the BIOS.
Do motherboards get damaged if the CPU overheat and die? (Got the nice BBQ smell and all) |

yes It would get to the post screen. Then it would either do the slow ram count and crash there. Or it would pass that and crash just before windows startup. Or if I go into the BIOS, it would crash in there.
I already did the CMOS reset. No help there. |
