USB connectors.

I am just trying to connect the front USB ports of my Thermaltake Xaser II case. From the USB front is a cable with nine ...
Labeled: Data-1, Data+1, Data-2, Data+2, GND1, GND2, Shield, VCC1 and VCC2.
In my motherboard manual (Manual for Soyo KT-333 Dragon Ultra Platinium), it says the USB connctors on the mobo are like this:

So the data should be easy to figure out .. I supose if I put Data+1 and Data-1 on the left ..and Data+2 and Data-2 on the right .. it should be ok.
Then we have the problem, my mobo manual says I should use 3 grounds, and 2 powers ... so is VCC power?? and is Sheild just another ground???

Yes, VCC is power [maybe red]
My instructions show the following for a 10 pin connection.

V1 X D1- G1 D1+
---------------------------------
V2 X D2- G2 D2+

Hope you can decypher this.
X has no connection
V1 is pin #1
V1 and V2 are power

You may have to re-wire the connector were it connects to the mainboard from the front plate. Here is a link to site which shows you how to re-wire your connector. Many mainboards have different USB wiring schemes. It is, therefore, common to re-wire the connectors. Oh yes, the sheild is a grounded conductor to inhibite magnetically produced inductances in the cable.
