What are you using the system for? Do you want a dual setup again? |

GIS stuff, minimal gaming, recording music. I dont really care about the dual setup.
Right now my budget is pretty much nothing, but Im hoping to sell my MB and processor once I figure out what im gonna get. Also once I get my lappy back from the shop its back on sale. |

I just bought an Asus A7N8X DELUXE for $153 at NEWEGG, it had been given very high marks on several reviews that I read.
Its an NVIDA N-S bridge based M/B with dual channel memory and
supports AGP 8X with tons of on board extras, check it out. I'm still in the process of getting it set up. Adding an AMD XP2400+
CPU and an AWI 9700 pro AGP vid card and a SONY dru500a
dual dvd burner along with a WD 120 special edition HD. |

What do you think about the Soyo SY-KT333 Dragon Plus or the SY-KT400 Dragon Ultra? |

Ohhh now you're talking my language saxgod. Soyo makes awesome mobos. I got a KT333 Dragon Lite a month or two ago and am just plain delighted with it. The KT400 is just downright sweet. You can get the Black Edition (don't pay the extra dough for the Platinum.. all you get is silver PCB instead of black) at Newegg for just $127. It's actually listed as just "KT400 Dragon Ultra" but it's the Black Edition. (click the See It link - the pics show you...) |

Yea, I put a soyo sy-k7vta in my dads about 6 months or so ago and he loves it. The KT400 is $124 @ directron.com. And the plat version is $169. Thats a ridiculous price jump just over color and I would prefer the black anyway lol. |

wow WeeGhoti, how much did that setup set you back?
Thats something similar to what I want to do. Once you get that thing setup let us know how it performes and how stable it is.
I like the Asus A7N8X also. |

On the Soyo Dragon - do you still get that 5.25 drive with the Black edition? I thought you didn't.
