If the motherboard site says it uses DDR 2100 will it also use 24000 and 2700??? Or should I get another mobo with 2700. Thanks for any help |

The mobo will use PC 2400 and PC 2700 but it will only run at PC 2100 speed. If you want the capabilities of the ram, use a PC 2700 suporting mobo.... |

Or you can just OC the 2100 board, can't remember the calc for the PC2100 numbers, but it is derived from the clock speed, so Pc2100 is guarenteed to run at 133 DDR, 1600 is 100DDR, I imagine 2700 is 166MhzDDR and 2400 is 150MhzDDR. so your 2700 will run no faster in a board that supports it then a board OC'd to 166Mhz FSB.
I don't think PC2700 is an official listing for boards since there is no 166Mhz FSB chips, highest chip that any board is designed to run is 133DDR, or P4 is 100QDR which means the memory for a P4 when DDR boards come out synchronus will be 1600, async will be 2100 (more then likely this is an option)
If I'm wrong someone please correct me. pretty sure this is accurate. |

Hey, what about the IWill XP333??? It supports DDR 333... Which is about 166, and is PC2700 |

Which is the same as an Epox 8kha+ runnn at 166Mhz FSB =] + you get the full benefits of 166Mhz FSB at your processor too. |

If so, then it would be better chance of success when OCing if using the PC2400 or 2700, as they can handle such speeds and for this RAM it will not be cosidered as OCing .. just for the CPU and Chipset side ...
But as most Crucial sticks can handle such high speeds when OCing, it will be non sense to get the new high rating RAMs ...
IMO
