y one have this board? if so, what processor do you have runnin with it? i am getting it within a few days, and i have a 2000+cpu. but i previously had a sy-kt400 dragon ultra (black ed.) and everytime i tried installing from a cd(an OS that is), or even boot from a win98 boot floppy it would shut off and have this loud constantnoise coming from the pc speaker. it would go until i hit the power button. so i shipped back the mobo for the one im getting in a few days. if anyone has this same board and same cpu, and possible a volcano 9 hsf(doesnt have to be that but it could help) tell me if you had any troubles installing an os.

I'm currently running the GA-7VAXP Rev1.2 with an XP2000+. This is a great board....quick and stable. Not the best for OC'ing as the fsb is selectable only to 165, but it's decent. I'm currently running 1800 - 12.5x144 with no problems. My chip is unlocked but I'm not going to bother to drop the multi as I really have no fsb headroom to work with. Doesn't matter anyway as this is my "family" rig. No problems installing the OS or any compatability issues with any of my hardware. Feel free to pm with any other questions. If you aren't a major oc'er then I would highly recommend this board......

sweet, you gave me a awesome boost of confidence man heh. i have been reading reviews, trouble forums and other stuff on this board.. i thought i was going to have to send this one back too

. and i might be asking you some questions when i get it thanks though. and also, on the dip switch for the fsb. and the other switch on the board as well. can you tell me, or post a pic or something of how they should be setup for the 2000+? thanks again,
