Does this Make Any Sense ??
Chipset
Northbridge: AMD 761
Southbridge: VIA 686B
2 DIMMS: PC 1600/2100 DDR SDRAM
BUT FSB 200.
Will this fly?
Will this Fly Well?
Have you ever worked with DDR SDRAM in a 200 FSB environmrent ?
Am I looking for trouble?
Or an SDR in DDR cloathing?
Any tales from the front?

What mobo is that?
Unless it has the option to use either sdram or ddr.

December 1st, 2001, 12:34 PM #3I may be wrong here, but the AMD 761 is for 266fsb, and 200fsb, PC2100 is 266ddr, chances are this is an err on thier site.Chipset
Northbridge: AMD 761
Southbridge: VIA 686B
2 DIMMS: PC 1600/2100 DDR SDRAM
Imperion, the only Chipset I know of that can use both is ALI Magik 1, possibly the SIS chipset, but AMD and VIA both use only one type of memory, this one being DDR, KT266/a also DDR only.

Barebone DON'T tell what the mobo is (Rats!) only that NB=AMD761 and SB=VIA 686B; can run Athlon to 1.2 Mhz;ATX form factor: 5 PCI +4X AGP. 2 X DDR mem Slots =1 G.
Alas system bus speed =200FSB
Dang it! on tip o' tongue: only a few mobos with split chipset AMD/VIA !

Extra staff means you get more duties? You are doing it wrong. At least I survived the shopping.
