Mobo help

Hey everyone, This is my first time buying the actual computer parts and building the system. I was looking around for a small budget mobo with onboard video. I came across the M7VIG Pro http://www.biostar.com.tw/products/m...igp/index.php3 . With it's low price tag, it caught my attension. I am planning to play some current games, surf the internet, and a bit of web developement. I am not sure if the onbaord 32meg Savage will be ok. I am planing on buying a stick of 256 DDR ram, and an Athlon 1800XP. Is this an OK motherboard?

Also, does the Athlon 1800XP retail, come with a heatsink and fan?

If I was you I'd buy an xp1700 from newegg for $50 skip the 1800 you'll save a few bucks that can be spent on a different board and maybe a video card...I'm not a big fan of on-board video

as for the retail yes they come with heatsink and fans but you may want to buy your own...you can get better stuff for about the same prices

I have heard nothing but glowing reports about the Biostar mirco ATX integrated mainboards posted here at techIMO. The integrated video is a plus and a good value option, in my opinion. The video should be more than adequate for your purposes. It is openGL games that are too much for the onboard video. If you are going to play these type of games, you need a powerful video adapter. The board has an AGP slot; so you have the option of upgrading the video if you want to - no problem.

I appologize about the double posts. The computer frooze somehow when I posted it, and I pressed the submit button twice, and I couldnt delete one of the posts. What I like about this motherboard is that it has everything onboard all in one package, so I don't have to buy any extra Video cards or network cards.
