Corsair XMS series vs XMS low latency

I'm wondering if the price difference is worth it. Here are the prices from newegg. Seems like a big jump in price for just a lower latency. I'm not into extreme overclocking.

At the moment, no. Get the regular XMS, OC and set the timing more agressivley.

Any benchmarks we can see in a powder-puff melee match of the CAS latencys?

Actually, there was somebody a few weeks ago who did a WHOLE BUNCH of tests, varying most of the DDR timings to see what was fastest. I can't find the link right now, but I do remember that most of the settings had no effect at all (including CAS latency).

I'll be buying the regular XMS RAM for my next system, not the LL stuff. It's definitely not worth almost $50 more.

I couldn't agree more. I think I also saw that memory benchmark.
