I need some help with a compaq presario 1277, there is no OS when I attempt to load an OS. The OS never starts. is there something in the bois setting that I need to check. not much to bios. though, I have checked the boot to CDRom.

Yes it does and I have tried that but it will not work, cd rom drivers are loaded but will not boot from the cd rom, get dos prompt then when I switch drives to cdrom and type setup it starts but setup file will not load. I think it maybe a bois block by compaq
