| Burn DVD problem
Hi, Im currently using DVD decrypter to decrypte the dvd i got from my local store and after about 10 mins decryoting, then i tried to use nero record 2 to copy entire DVD to DVD but then there is a plug in required "Due to patent license restrictions, MPEG=2 encoding.decoding.playback not available........" then i realise i also can't play the dvd file properly (normally double click on the VIEDO_TS file and it plays but if u click by cheapter VTS_O1_1 then it works). I dont have this problem before and now i cannot burn any dvd at home. where went wrong? |

Get a program called dvd shrink it will let you rip, lower the bitrate to make it fit on a dvd-r and burn it. http://www.dvdshrink.org

dvd decrypter. go to mode>iso read then when you are done go to mode>iso write. tada. if it reports the dvd as a dvd-9 (dual layer) in the disc info at the side, then dvd shrink is the tool to use. it uses nero to burn though. you shouldn't really see that message unless you are transcoding to dvd format. your files are already in the required format, so you should be burning a data disc onto your dvdr. that is both the audio_ts and video_ts folders. a rewritable dvd is invaluable to check out your efforts without wasting discs when you start out with a dvd burner.

I get that same message trying to burn a DVD thru Nero > NeroVision Express 2 SE.
Maybe because it is the SE version?

nero bundled editions require you to pay for the mpeg2 format plugins and mp3pro format plugins. i don't know about buying it as a standalone program from ahead or resellers without the burner. these plugins are only used for transcoding from one audio/video format to another. you can use files already in these formats okay. |

i still having problem to burn the dvd, i have tried to use dvd Shrink and use Nero and Drag and Drop to make the DVD but same error still showing. On nero, error was "Burn process failed at 4X (5,520kb/s)" and on drag and drop was "Calibration error occurred. The drive may not support the media. Please check the media". anyone knows what's wrong?
do i have to recode it after decrypting???
Becuase i works for me fine before and what i did was. using dvd decrypter to decrypter then use Nero recode and burn it. but all of it sudden it wont work for me now. |

it should not have needed to be recoded after dvddecrypter. use the iso read and write options in dvddecrypter to burn the dvd and this will cut nero from the process. i think the most likely culprit for your errors is the dvdr disc brand you are using, some do not burn well with certain brand burners. if you find a brand where you get good results, then try to stick with that brand. |

I use Clone DVD along with AnyDVD and had zero problems. No coasters so far. There is a free trial on both. Just do a google search for them both. |
