ok for whatever reason when i attempt to use WMP like play a song, my CPU usage will jump to %100, and my computer pretty much comes to a halt. i never had this problem before. any thoughts on this matter would be appreciated.

ok i figured i give this one more chance before i try and reload windows. oh BTW i have XP professional.
also for whatever reason but if i go to a folder on my hard drive and click on a song or video from within that folder i have no problems. its when im browsing my library within the media player and selecting songs to play, THEN it will freeze and slow down.
