    Ripping DVDs

How do I get a dvd on my harddrive. I have a dvd reader but no writer. Can I use nero or WMP. I also have this program called power DVD that came with my computer. It is meant to play back DVDs.

    Thanks guys.

I've downloaded both. When using DVD shink I dont know how to open the movie. When it ripped I could view it as a small video in the bottom left corner. when I exited and went back in it was gone. Do you know where the movie is actually stored and how I can open it in my "Power DVD" program?
    thanks

if u wanna copy the movies on a dvd on ur hardisk just click on that and copy paste like how we move from one place to another on a hard disk itself.

i have tried dvd decrypter its no good
if u wanna rip a dvd u have to let the whole process complete in one go or else no use.
    it might take from 2-5hrs

    wha?

If you just copy and past the files will still be CSS protected & wont play back properly.

And ripping a DVD shouldn't take 2-5 hours, only re-encoding takes that long.

Ripping shouldn't really take more than say 20-30mins at most usually....

DVD shrink removes the copy protection as well as DVD decryptor, its easy to ripp a DVD, In DVD shrink, just select backup and pick a location.
