    2.1 or 5.1 ?? Creative!?

     
    My friend was asking me whether he should get a 2.1 rather than a 5.1 since he will mainly be using the speakers for mp3 listening.. and maybe occasional DVD.. He's currently using a SB Live! SC..

    Also, how is the Creative MEGAworks 5.1 THX (500RMS)? Is it a good buy ?

    What about the Creative MEGAWOrks 2.1 THX (300RMS)..

    The megaworks are fine speakers. It really is all up to your friend and if he wants surround sound.

    If it is just mainly for MP3 music then I would think that 2.1 speakers would be fine. I have the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 and they are great. Check the Klipsch Clearance Store for discount pricing.

    I would personally go with a Klipsch model if you're looking for truly exceptional sound. The Klipsch Promedia 5.1 Ultra is, after all, the best.
