EZCD Users: Equalizing Volume for Recording MP3s ...
Fellow Members:
I have downloaded a fair number of MP3s and am preparing to burn some more CDRs.
I have the Platinum (v.5.1) edition of Roxio's EZCD burner program.
I notice that some MP3s play at a different volume than others ... This was likely due to volume settings of persons who uploaded tunes.
Question: What is the / a method for getting tunes to play at same volume after the burn? I do not want to adjust the volume for each song when listening ...
I would think the methodology for accomplishing this is pretty much the same for most burner programs, e.g., Nero, etcetera.
Well I know with Nero you can set them all to be a standard volume, as max %, in burn options, after you click burn. Not sure about EZCD though....I steer away from those programs.
I have not used it but in the Soundstream section of EZCD 5 has a normalize.
"Records all tracks at equal volume. Select this option if you are recording songs from a variety of sources that have been originally recorded at different volumes. If you do not select this option, some tracks may sound louder than others on your CD."
Open Soundstream by choosing it from the top of the create music cd section of selection window Then click on the blue (show option drawer) button at the bottom center Then choose effects. Lots more info in instruction book and/or help files.
Thanks a ton! That appears to be exactly what I was looking for. Turns out the Sound Editor is only for wav files, and I didn't want to convert the MP3s!
