Im Frustrated.. Need Video Help!

******, I can't just seem to find the answer to my solution! I've searched, but haven't found anything and I'm lost.

Im a noob to Video, so I need help. This is all I want to do: Take some .wmv files I have on my computer and put it on a dvd disc so it can be played in a conventional dvd player. If someone can please explain how to do this (instead of just giving me a link and telling me to read), I would REALLY appreciate it. This is the current software and hardware I have now:

DVD Burner (AOpen)
Nero 6
DVD Shrink

Please explain everything that I need to do (if I need additional softeware, please give me a link). Thanx! You are really helping me out.

Click on Start then Program then Nero, Nero 6 ultra Edtion wil pop up then Click on Nero Express then hihlight Video?Pictures From there you will burn DVD option click on it then drag your WMW file. then burn i think something will pop up required to download dvd encounter or something download it then install

I tried that. The wmv's wouldnt show for me to drag them. I think I have to convert them to VOB. But how do I do that?
