| How to encrypt the licence? Hallo
I am a musician and I have songs on website. I just wanted to know if there is any technique or trick to encrypt some information, or make my music files licence protected? The licence field in the properties of the song files is non-editable.
Please tell me some software or trick to do a fool proof job.
see you.
good wishes.
Sincerely, Ket. |

I don't know how to do that with software but it really doesn't matter in my opinion. Anything that you can "protect", someone else can get around. No matter how much you digitally protect something, there's a way to get around it digitally, and it's even easier to get around it via analog outs. So in regards to a "fool-proof job", you'll never find that. |

hmmm
yes, many people will download my music and I will be wellknown. I was just worried about if someone changes the name of my music on his name, and if I find out, .. I would need some proof or organization to prove it on.
hmmm.
yes digital protection wont help atall..
ok , ok so thanks , see you.

Well copyright protection is probably the sort of "security" and peace of mind your looking for.
Files like AAC can be licensed and encoded to only be played by that certain user with the right credentials. However if you were to copyright your music, you wouldn't have to worry about it being used and called someone elses work. Stopping music piracy of the song is the least of your worrys imho.
Just apply for a copyright patent on your work before you release it on the internet. http://www.uspto.gov/web/offices/pac...ral/whatis.htm
Go here to do so: http://www.copyright.gov/
