    TV tuner for laptop

what is the best tv tuner for a laptop? It seems like USB is the only option but they seem to get mixed reviews. I thought maybe that was because a lot of people still have usb 1 and dont realize that is the problem. Any suggestions or preferences? Is USB my only option or is ther maybe some kind of pcmcia adapter out there somewhere?

Well does your laptop have usb 2.0? I dont see any problem going with a usb 2.0 tv tuner or even a pvr(personal/digital video recorder, it has an mpeg 2 encoder in it so it takes the strain off the cpu converting the signal to mpeg2) usb card? It's afaik the only solution for you on a laptop. I dont have much exprience with usb ones, as this is the only one I have seen and works well and is a pvr type:
