which would take up less space on an MP3 player about the size of oh lets say... 256MB?
because my bro has one that is 256 and he wants to know what format would take up less space adn how he could convert itunes/musicmatch files to one of these formats

If the player can read WMA it is a smaller format than MP3. Most good CD burning programs can make the conversion for you. Personally I use Nero Ultra 6 and am very pleased.

they will both be the same size and around the same quality...i would use mp3 though because of it universalness

above 128kbps, go with mp3. If your songs are a lower quality than that, wma sounds better IMO at low bit rates. |

MP3. I've done tests before and there's no contest. I personally use EAC and EasyLAME to rip my CD's. |

to convert iTunes to mp3 you have to burn them to CD first and then rip the files off the CD. |
