Compressing Captured Video

Hi

I picked up myself a fancy new digital camera (well fancy and new to me). It's a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W5 just wating for my 512 Meg memory stick to arrive (or should I go bigger?).

I was fooling around with it taking pictures changing settings etc. Then I was taking a video (wow doesn't take long to fill the 32Meg internal memory).

I looked at my measly 2 min vid clip and it was 30Meg. Is there any way to compress that to make it smaller? I mean not on the camera but on my computer.

I'm new to this video editing/compressing stuff.

Any suggestions..

Virtual Dub (google it) is free can can possible compress it some more. Most cameras that come with a video ability will offer some sort of video editing tool in its package.
