sony vaio pcv - p101 audio driver

hey there, i have a sony vaio pcv - p101 desktop pc. when i purchased it in japan (i wish i hadn't now) it was a factory second model.

so there were no recovery cd's with it. i managed to get most the drivers required, although, im stuck with the audio driver. i'v been looking for yonks with no luck.

please help in anyway possible.

thanks for the help, but as usual, the thing didnt work...i think i'v tried now 8 so called audio drivers for this machine... now im starting to lose my hair... "is this all worth it?

okay so i remember sort of the same problem when i bought a cheap computer off a friend for my little bros birthday. and i was searching everywhere for drivers, i found the drivers for the inbuilt sound (something SiS or w/e) but i intalled the driver and i still didn't work and i was trying to get this to work without my brother seing it. but anyway i was searching google and stumbled across techimo and found a somewhat unrelated link but it sort of led me to the problem and it was something called realtech ac97 i was like wtf so i thought what have i got to lose so i downloaded it anyway and it turned out to work so you might want to try that http://www.fic.com.tw/support/mother...driver_cd.aspx ...

but if not i have the drivers for my sony vaio laptop that might work if you want to try them i can send them to you
