mp3 speeding!!!

hi, i am running windows 2000 and the mp3's are speeding like the chipmunks.. anything i can do to fix this?? it is doing it in media player, winamp, and limewire.. i downloaded wmp 9 with codecs and its still doing it.

Interesting... try uninstalling your audio drivers and installing the latest version drivers. If it's not that, try looking for any software that might have been installed with the drivers. There is usually an option in there to control playback speed.

If you need help finding drivers, just let us know the sound card or motherboard you're using.

Also, does this happen with all audio or just MP3s? And do you have these problems with video sound?
