| PC can't see DV Camcorder
Help,
I have a Sony Dv Camcorder a DSR-PD100AP to be exact. I'm trying to hook it up to a Vaio Laptop with WinXP Pro installed.
I have a well it looks like a firewire cable(s400)going from DVC to laptop, but the PC just wont see the device. I have looked all over the place for drivers, heh like looking for 1 particular snow flake in a storm. Can anybody shed some light on this?
Cheers,
Lee. |

Have you tied the Add Imaging Device option under Scanners and Cameras? |

Thank you both 27 and Excuzzzeme,
The problem with this is it asks for the drivers and I have none. Drivers.com was no good, the Sony web site was no good. Heh the whole thing is no good, but *sigh* that's life I guess.
Cheers,
Lee. |

Heh sorry 27 that is what I meant to say driverguide.com was no good.
The DV camcorder is quite old and I suppect now no longer being sold, so maybe I should just update.

Try the Add Imaging Device I suggested before and then tell it to automatically search for drivers. |
