| sorting and deleting duplicate .mp3's
I'm looking mainly for a program that will search my music collection and aleart me to duplicate songs so I can weed them out. Preferably something that doesn't just go by one field(like ID3tag, file name, File singnature). Anyone know of a program similar to that? |

Well, this is tough to do.
Best way I have found to do it is with Tag&Rename, get the tags right, make all the filenames match and you will see the dupes easy.

that's tough. lol. Maybe i can make a java script for it. scan the whole computer for music files and look for ones that are the same size...if they're the same size then put them up as possible duplicates (are you talking exact duplicates..like same size and everything?) | |

I've been using similar software for 2 years. The program I purchased was Dupe Checker. Quite good one. Furthermore there is Dupe Checker PRO 6.0 now so many things must have been improoved. This prog differs from othes because it has many comparison settings which you can change in order to get the best results!
So you can try it...
