    Mp3 to MIDI converter?

     
    Does anyone know of a free program that converts mp3 files to MIDI?

    mp3 to MIDI? I doubt thats possible. MIDI is just a file (kinda like sheet music) that tells your computer to play certain notes it can produce. It can sound different with onboard sound and sound cards. Mp3's are music compressed into the smallest file possible.

    If you were thinking of compressing mp3s to MIDI size, sorry, its impossible. Unless you want to severely decrease its music quality to the extent where it sounds like a cat slowly being killed by static charges. ^_^

    I have seen programs for sale that say they can do this. I was hoping to find a free solution.
