Question About Universal Audio Jack (UAJ)

Hey guys,

I'll be getting a Gigabyte K8NS – Nforce 3 Mobo soon and have a question about the UAJ.

This board has 8 channel audio but says that its uses the UAJ. Is this just a single jack or is it seperate jacks.

Or to make it simpler, will i be able to run my Logitech Z640's on this board without getting any adapters or another sound card.

Motherboards with UAJs have standard back panel jacks. Manufacturers may include one or more UAJs on the front or back panels withing those standard ports.

So, if you have say one or two UAJs you don't have to worry what plug you jack into it. If you have a mic plug and you plug it into a UAJ, the I/O autosenses and says, "Ah ha, that's a mic line, not an output line..."

Great for when you screw up your wires, everything will still work.
