    Question help with dvd formats....?

     
    i have burnt a couple dvd's, using an older HP DVD-rw ..

    I was told that with this particular dvd (HP dvd100i) that i can only use DVD+R or DVD+RW dvd's.... anyway, they play on 2 of my dvd players, but it won't play on a 3rd i had in my daughters room...

    how do i know what format i should put the dvd in to make work on all dvd players..? I can't even find a way under the program i use to change the format.. actually not sure where to look ..LOL..
