Gotta be a way to have radio on laptop...

Hey guys, I'm trying to think if there is software/hardware that will allow you to listen to radio through your laptop.

i start work at 830am - and i'm missing prime Howard stern air time.

I'm missing 8:30am -10:30am every morning.

is there a way to set it up via a laptop, besides bringing in a radio, which I dont want to do?

Some PCMCIA and USB television tuner cards offer FM radio support. The Hauppauge WinTV WinTV-USB-FM (Model 621) comes to mind. Drop a Google search for other models.

also a lot of stations are brining back the live streaming radio, might want to check on that.

Internet radio.
Find your stations's website and bob's yer uncle.

Same goes for some satellite radio.

That is what I do when using my notebook. I have cellular Internet data service with nationwide coverage, so I can listen to my favorite stations when traveling.

True enough. I have a Sirius satellite radio receiver, but I sometimes listen to the online feeds when away from home or my car.

yeah, my online problem is that Howard Stern is not available ONLINE. Atleast he's not now until he's on sirius. My project was to get stern on my laptop in the mornings

I guess i'll have to wait until 06 and get sirius.

and i dont have an uncle bob.

I think someone should work and find a solution of putting radio on laptop and even tv it can be very handy. they can put it small mobile fone then y cant in laptops
