I am having trouble finding a cd player which you can also store Mp3's or Wav on a HD. I know there are car receivers which you can now directly hook up an ipod (ipod capability). This would also be great if there was a receiver or CD Player which I could hook an IPOD up to. I am not sure, but can you hook an IPOD up to mostly any ol' home receivers or not? I am guessing by directly hooking the IPOD up to a home or car receiver, there would be a minimal loss in sound quality. I would really appreciate the help! Thanks.

You can, and there won't be any appreciable loss in sound quality.

yep...alls you need is a 1/8'' stereo to rca y adapter (red/white) which plugs into the back of ur reciever....or an optical cable if it's high endish

Sweet, I can sell my CD player then. I didn't know if there was a stereo output directly from the IPOD. I was just looking at the dock, but that only works for the picture 30gb+ ipods, and I will most likely get a 6gb or 20gb. Also I don't need to store picture or use slideshows. Thanks.

Anyone know how the ipod mini 6gb holds up? I heard the battery life on the 20gb+ diminishes somewhat.
