Car adapter and fm transmitter/tape adapter
since me n my fam are moving, and me n my dad get to drive the truck, and it onlyv had tape (or just radio) we need to find either a tape adapter or an fm transmitter that is cheap, and a car adapter for the cig lighter thingy, to power my dads laptop to play the tunes..... now this all has to be cheap, not cheap so that it's the wrost, but nothing overly sophisticated...... prolly 60 bucks max canadian......and preferably from the source/radioshack....

It's not a good idea to bump that quickly. But anyways dude, here's the cheapest FM transmitter at the Shack- ($30) USD
You are going to have be more specific about your laptop, or at least its DC requirements...

Ok, well the computers power adapter says it uses 65 watts, at 19 volts, and the connector is kinda big with a line across it and a little hole in the center....
but what im just thinking is picking up a power inverter....cheap one....like theres on at radioshack thats a 70 watt.....and then pick up either an fm transmitter...cheap, or just a tape adapter.....becuz i wana be able to use it more then once....so maybe the fm transmitter....
ill go look and post back in a bit....see what u guys think....

alright, i looked around, and found some cheap stuff that might just work....just wana see what u guys think.....
For the FM transmitter, i'm thinking either this one which can use batteries or car outlet, or maybe this one which doesn't seem to require batteries, and plays the music from the usb to the receiver to the radio i think? so maybe that'd be better?
Then for the inverter, im thinking this one....

They seem ok.
I was also thinking about a power inverter also.
Just check how many amps your laptop will draw vs. what that inverter will supply. After that you should be good to go.New Dad since 07/06/2005
