i can play the dvd
but when i copy the files to my hard disk, i can only hear sound.
can anyone help me |

Sounds like a codec issue...Windows Media Player, I assume?
Try VLC...free player that's better than WMP IMHO.

I know you said you tried everything else (???), but are you willing to try what Martoch said?
BTW, how did you copy the files over? Is it just the VOB files you mentioned, or did you get everything? |

i did try to reinstall all the othere codecs like k lite
but it still happens
i used to view vob files before but this never happened.
i simply copy pasted them
i even used vlc
not working |

ok vlc plays them now
but i have plenty of vob files on data dvds and i can play them ok
but these files i can't play them
even with vlc they look horrible.
and i still can't see the vob files that was copied from an original dvd
why is that? |

Don't you need the IFO files too? Maybe the files are corrupted?
I usually use DVD Shrink to copy to the hard drive. It also allows me to remove things I don't want and reduce the file sizes if necessary. |

previously i never used any other progs. but also i only copied custom made (fake)dvds. but this one is an original. is there any difference in that?
also i copied all the files in the VIDEO_TS folder and i just can't get it why i can't get them to work on HD just like on a dvd |

this is the first time i copied a dvd from abroad.
i always copy stuff from home burned dvds.
so whats the solution? |
