Is it possible to connect a lcd tv to the pc, & use the pc’s surround sound system on the tv while playing ps2 games ?. If it is what would I need to do this.

Your computer would have to have a digital audio input to get the signal from the PS2. Then you could pipe it through your PC's speakers. Ignore the TV completely for sound and the computer completely for video.

I have not seen a lot of sound cards with digital inputs though.
