| FLV to AVI editing tools failed compression
I've been getting alot of hits from google to this site and been reading up on how to edit FLV files for other things. I would really like to use the FLV import for premiere but any type of money involved is out of my price on a project like this.
I've just found a video on the internet and would like to use it to make fun of some of my co-workers. I've tried to convert it to AVI and edit it in premiere and pinnacle, but both tools give me errors. Pinnacle's more vauge but Adobe is saying that it's an unsupported file compression.
I'm sure you understand my reasoning for not wanting to spend money on this little project, but I also get almost obsessive with trying to figure out how to do things.
Thank you for your time and help. |

I second Riva FLV Encoder as I use it all the time with a 100% .flv to .avi success rate.

I had a few problems with it but managed to encode it in mpg, and sent it through pinnacle to align the timing and speed of video and audio.
Thanks again for your help! Really appreciate it, now lets hope I don't get beat up too bad for this video. |

I use AVS 6 but you would have to buy it or it will leave a watermark that gets really annoying, but I think its pretty good, course I'm not exactly a pro at software. |
