I want to connect my PC to my receiver to play music only. My main reason for this is to have my monitor on top of the bar while leaving my sound system where it is, 50ft away. Need assistance as to which way to go. I do want good sound but do not want to spend a fortune on cables. I see my options are:
1) Store the PC close to the monitor and run RCA cables to the receiver. Do I need to spend $$$ on good RCA cables to prevent signal loss?
2) Connect PC to the receiver with normal length RCA cables and run USB repeaters to the mouse and keyboard. I will also have to run monitor cable the same length.
Side question: do I need a higher quality sound card then the supplied audio output on the PC (green colored input)?
